The highest mountain range in the the world is the Himalaya.The highest peak in the world is Mount Everest which is about 29,035 feet. It is the highest peak in the Himalayan mountain range. This mountain range was formed by two large bodies of land pushing together, India and Asia. This mountain range is still growing!

Nepal has a very interesting people and culture. Nepal has a total of 27,676,500 people in their country. 83% of the people in Nepal live in mountains, and 17% live in cities. Most Nepalese live in mud or brick houses. Most Nepalese farm for a living. Nepal's main religions are: Hindu 80% and Buddhist 20%. Nepal has 70 different languages, Nepali is 48%, Maithali 12%, 40% English are the main ones. Some of their main games are air hockey; collect four; cricket; foot juggling; and video games. It's main sports are football; baseball; cricket; skiing; and golf. One of their favorite shows is ESPN. Nepalese cook with a lot of spices. They eat rice twice a day. The moon and sun on the flag stand for a long lifetime.

In 1947, Nepal gained independence from India. 1960 Nepal stopped elections. In 1962, they created their constitution.
